The La Aldea de San Nicolás City Council has implemented a special mobility plan for the 2026 Rally Islas Canarias, taking place on April 24, to ensure access to the Mogán–La Aldea section and public safety.

This arrangement includes the partial closure of the GC-200 road from 10:00 PM on Thursday, April 23, allowing only authorized vehicles to pass. The full road closure will be activated on Friday, April 24, starting at 8:16 AM.
During the day, the rally will pass through the municipality twice, at 11:16 AM and 5:52 PM. The finish line will be located on Avenida San Nicolás and the Control Stop near Discoteca Avenida. The road is expected to reopen at 7:52 PM, although a temporary passage might be enabled between 1:45 PM and 2:30 PM in the Mogán–La Aldea direction, if conditions permit.
To facilitate movement, a shuttle bus service operated by Global (line 38) will be available, with departures at 5:45 AM, 7:00 AM, 7:30 AM, and 8:00 AM. Additionally, line 131 will adjust its schedules in both directions between Gáldar and La Aldea, with several frequencies throughout the day. The main stop will be at the town center roundabout, while other stops will be out of service.
Furthermore, specific parking areas have been designated at various points in the municipality, such as in front of the Local Police building, next to the old Ferretería Vicente, and at the entrance of Las Rosas street towards Las Tabladas. Regarding internal mobility, detours and restrictions will be implemented on several streets. Residents of the Islas Canarias street urbanization must use alternative marked routes for access and exit, while other roads like Barranquillo de la Plaza or Villa de Agaete will have traffic limitations.
The City Council advises citizens to plan their journeys in advance, use the provided public transport, and always respect traffic signs and the instructions of security forces. With these measures, La Aldea is preparing to host one of the most significant motorsport events in the Canary Islands.
