Young artist Alexia Caraballo García presented her exciting musical project ‘Enredadera’ this Saturday in Yaiza. The proposal, which mixes her passion for performance with various styles and influences, premiered to the local audience in the square of Yaiza during the Los Remedios festivals.
The emotional hour-and-a-half live performance captivated attendees, many of whom know the artist's career since she first emerged as a child singer in southern Lanzarote. Caraballo was accompanied on stage by a band led by maestro Roberto Gil.
The repertoire of ‘Enredadera’ metaphorically refers to Alexia's artistic roots, closely linked to Lanzarote and, especially, to the municipality of Yaiza and the town of Femés. The proposal compiles musical branches in different registers, interpreted as a relaunch of her career.
Songs such as ‘Ojo de halcón’, ‘A prueba de ti’, ‘Cicatrizando’, or ‘Me vuelvo a la vida’ are part of ‘Enredadera’. The lyrics and Alexia's interpretive strength convey the sentiment that inspired the project's creation. Although the repertoire consists mainly of covers, ‘Enredadera’ reinterprets them through the singer's vocal identity and with arrangements adapted for a live band.
Alexia Caraballo's participation in the fourth edition of La Voz Kids, where she reached the semifinals under the guidance of David Bisbal, marked a turning point in her career due to its media impact. Her family, especially her mother Sonia and sister Cheyenne, who are linked to Canarian folklore, accompanied her at the premiere, singing one of the chosen songs.
