The medical center in Tinajo will undergo an expansion within a maximum of five months, as announced by the Lanzarote Health Services Management.

The Lanzarote Health Services Management has initiated the process to expand the medical center in Tinajo, aiming for construction to commence before the end of the year. The project, scheduled to take five months, will include the creation of a new medical consultation room, an additional nursing consultation room, and a larger multipurpose room.
The budget allocated for this expansion exceeds 593,400 euros. The recently published tender sets June 11 as the deadline for interested companies to submit their formal proposals.
This action is driven by the need to adapt the facility to current demands, as its current size has become insufficient despite its recent opening less than six years ago. The initial investment in the center, made in the late previous decade, was approximately 700,000 euros.
Currently, the center is equipped with areas for admission, administration, medical record storage, a sample collection room, pediatric and multipurpose consultation rooms, treatment and waiting rooms, restrooms, an emergency area, staff changing rooms, storage, and technical rooms.
At present, there are no plans to implement a special 24-hour service coverage for the facility.
