The Yaiza City Council has transferred €124,750 in transportation aid for 117 university and higher vocational training students, corresponding to the 2025-2026 academic year.

The beneficiaries are young residents of Yaiza who met the deadlines and requirements of the municipal call. The majority of the funds are allocated to university students pursuing in-person studies outside the island of Lanzarote.
A total of 98 university students have received €1,200 each, an amount that the council has increased compared to previous editions. This sum is granted to those studying outside of Lanzarote.
The call includes different amounts based on the type of studies and location. University students studying in Lanzarote through non-face-to-face or online modalities receive €350. For higher vocational training students enrolled off-island, the aid is €500, while those pursuing these studies within Lanzarote receive €300.

"The aid for university students studying outside Lanzarote increased from €900 to €1,200. The amount for higher vocational training students who have to travel off-island also increased by €150."
