Playa Blanca, in Yaiza, will soon have a new 2,500 square meter sports facility dedicated to sand sports, including beach volleyball and beach soccer, with an investment of 1.3 million euros.

The locality of Playa Blanca, in the municipality of Yaiza, is constructing a new 2,500 square meter space for recreation and healthy activities. This new facility will feature soft-surface courts designed to promote sand sports such as beach volleyball, beach soccer, and beach handball. The new recreational and accessible area is an expansion of the San Marcial del Rubicón sports center, located near the Las Coloradas area.
In addition to the sand courts, the new facility will include changing rooms, an exercise zone, shaded areas, a kiosk, a terrace, perimeter fencing, and lighting. The municipal project is being executed with a total budget of 1.3 million euros, co-financed by the City Council and the Cabildo of Lanzarote, through the Municipal Cooperation Plan 2026.

"In this collaboration between administrations, which we have always defended with institutional loyalty, the island council contributes 757,000 euros, while the city council invests 543,000 euros. We are taking advantage of the plot adjacent to the first phase of the San Marcial sports center to build and deliver a new recreational sports space for citizens and our youth."
