Of this amount, 98 university students pursuing in-person studies outside of Lanzarote have each received €1,200, as part of the educational support program promoted by the local administration. This figure represents an increase from the previous €900, aiming to alleviate the financial burden on families.
University students undertaking non-in-person or online studies on the island receive €350. Meanwhile, higher vocational students enrolled outside of Lanzarote receive €500, while those pursuing these studies on the island are granted €300.
This aid is intended for Spanish or EU students with habitual residence in Yaiza, enrolled in public and private educational institutions during the relevant academic year. The Councillor for Education, Silvia Santana, has announced that the definitive list of scholarships and amounts is available on the municipal website.
