“"While the Government formally notifies us of the agreement, I believe the Cabildo should also bridge the gap with the City Council, especially since we are immersed in the processing of our General Urban Planning Plan. Therefore, in this new letter, I ask the Cabildo to exchange all information on the island and municipal planning."

The mayor of Yaiza, Óscar Noda, has reiterated to the Lanzarote Cabildo a request for a working meeting to discuss the status and progress of the Playa Blanca Tourism Modernization Plan.
The mayor of Yaiza sent a letter this Tuesday to the Minister of Territorial Planning, Territorial Policy, and Tourism of the Lanzarote Cabildo, Jesús Machín Tavío, requesting a meeting to address the processing of the Playa Blanca Tourism Modernization Plan. This request was first made on July 2nd but is being reiterated due to a lack of response.
Óscar Noda emphasizes the importance of coordination between administrations, noting that information about the plan is received through the Government of the Canary Islands. Recently, the council received the agreement from the Canarian Executive, chaired by Fernando Clavijo, which accepts the island council's initiative for the formulation and processing of the Modernization, Improvement, and Competitiveness Plan for the tourist hub of Playa Blanca.
The agreement also authorizes the signing of a cooperation agreement between the Ministry of Territorial Policy, Territorial Cohesion, and Water of the Cabildo for the management commission related to the formulation of said Plan.
The mayor concludes by asking the Cabildo for an exchange of information on island and municipal planning, given the overlap in urban planning processes.
