The 'Sabores de Tinajo' initiative has achieved another success at the El Cuchillo Festivities, selling out all available spots for its second edition.

The second event of the 2026 edition of "Sabores de Tinajo", aimed at promoting local produce, has been a resounding success at the El Cuchillo Festivities, with registrations selling out within hours of opening.
Organized by the Commerce and Primary Sector departments of the Tinajo Town Hall, in collaboration with Dinamiza Rural of the Government of the Canary Islands, the event featured a live cooking show. Various products from the municipality were presented, respecting their essence and exploring new ways to enjoy them.
Attendees enjoyed dishes such as “Crispy caramel of tender cheese from El Cuchillo with Tinajo tomato confit”, “Pickled horse mackerel with seasonal fruit” (made with wine from Bodega Las Cadenas, horse mackerel from Pescadería Tenesar, and fruit from César Viña), the “False empanadilla of goat stew” (using goat from Filo de El Cuchillo), and a dessert of “Stewed strawberry with pistachio ice cream” (with strawberries from Tania de Finca El Cuchillo and honey from Casa Pacheco, accompanied by ice cream from La Nueva Polar). All paired with Malpeis Bermeja Red IPA beer.
The mayor of Tinajo, Jesús Machín, congratulated those involved for the continued success of "Sabores de Tinajo". "This is the second of three events we will hold this year, where we continue to cherish and value gastronomy and landscape through live cooking demonstrations with zero-kilometer products", he stated.
Machín emphasized that the event, framed within the El Cuchillo Festivities, "continues to build bridges between the local primary sector and the citizens who have once again savored the delicious cuisine with the best flavors of Tinajo".
