Tinajo Launches 18 Sports Modalities and Inclusive Activities for 2026-2027

The Tinajo Sports Schools begin the 2026/2027 season with an expanded offering of eighteen sports modalities, in addition to four inclusive sports options.

The Department of Sports of the Tinajo City Council, led by Vianney Rodríguez, has presented the 2026/2027 season of the Sports Schools. This year, the offering increases to eighteen different sports modalities, plus four options in the inclusive sports category.
This expansion is the result of collaboration between local schools and clubs, the Departments of Sports and Social Services of the Tinajo City Council, and the association Creciendo Yaiza.
Residents of the municipality will be able to practice chess, athletics, handball, basketball, triathlon, tennis, badminton, skate, football, futsal (new this year), Canarian wrestling, karate, trail running, artistic gymnastics, rhythmic gymnastics, judo, skating, and artistic skating.
In terms of inclusive offerings, the season includes art and dance, inclusive sports, swimming, and the new activity of inclusive tennis.
The Councilor for Sports, Vianney Rodríguez, highlighted the commitment of local sports associations in promoting physical activity from a very young age, contributing to the integral education of children and young people and strengthening sports in Tinajo, in line with the Health Promoters Strategy.
Deportes Tinajo aims to continue providing the municipality with the best means, facilities, and resources, as well as maintaining support for clubs, athletes, and associations involved in this fundamental work.
For his part, the mayor of Tinajo, Jesús Machín, congratulated parents and guardians for their continued support of sports for the youngest members of the household, as well as clubs, schools, and departments for the immense variety of sports options offered to residents.
