The General Directorate of Blood Donation and Hemotherapy of the Canary Islands Health Service (SCS) has installed a mobile unit in Adeje to facilitate blood donation for residents and visitors of the municipality.
The donation point will be operational until tomorrow at the Tourist Development Center, located in the El Galeón Urbanization. The hours are from 9:30 AM to 1:15 PM and from 4:00 PM to 7:15 PM.
For those wishing to donate in Tenerife, there is a fixed point in Santa Cruz de Tenerife, on Méndez Núñez street, open Monday to Friday from 8:15 AM to 8:15 PM (except holidays).
Another fixed point is located at the San Isidro Health Center, in Granadilla de Abona, with hours from Monday to Friday from 8:15 AM to 7:30 PM (except holidays). This center has reserved parking for donors and telephone assistance at 677980518.
Within the hospital network, the University Hospital of the Canary Islands allows donations without an appointment from Sunday to Friday and on holidays from 8:30 AM to 9:30 PM, and on Saturdays from 8:30 AM to 2:00 PM and from 3:30 PM to 8:00 PM (contact: 922678670).
The University Hospital Nuestra Señora de Candelaria also offers donations without an appointment from Monday to Friday from 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM and on Saturdays from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM, except holidays (contact: 922602060).
Additionally, donations can be made at Hospiten Bellevue, in Puerto de la Cruz, by requesting an appointment at 922385235 (option 1), from Monday to Friday from 11:00 AM to 2:30 PM (except holidays).
Finally, the San Juan de Dios Hospital, on the road to Santa Cruz La Laguna, has a donation point open from Monday to Friday from 10:30 AM to 12:30 PM, except holidays.
Basic requirements for blood donation include being between eighteen and 65 years old (up to sixty for a first-time donation), weighing over fifty kilograms, and being in good general health, as well as not being pregnant.
