Over three days, a total of 35 teams (18 male and 17 female) from 13 autonomous communities will compete for the national title on the courts set up at Los Cristianos beach. The represented communities are Andalusia, Aragon, Asturias, Balearic Islands, Canary Islands, Cantabria, Catalonia, Valencian Community, Extremadura, Galicia, Madrid, Murcia, and Basque Country.
The organization is managed by the Royal Spanish Volleyball Federation and the Canarian Volleyball Federation, with the support of the Municipal Sports Board of the Arona City Council, Turismo de Arona, and the Island Council of Tenerife, in addition to the Island Volleyball Federation of Tenerife.
The Councilor for Sports of the Arona City Council, Luis Sierra, welcomed the participants and delegations.
The competition will kick off on Friday, July 24, with the group stage matches. Saturday, July 25, will see the completion of the first phase and the start of the knockout rounds and decisive matches determining which teams continue in the race for medals. Sunday, July 26, will feature the final day, with the decisive matches for the podium and the subsequent trophy ceremony.
The Canary Islands will be represented by four teams. In the men's category, the pairs formed by De la Torre and Carretero, and Campos and Russo will compete. In the women's category, Belón and Benotmane, and García and Van Laer will participate.
The event, under the slogan #Aronadeportes, invites residents and visitors to come and support the Canarian representatives and enjoy national beach volleyball.
