This development, which received approval from the Canary Islands Territorial and Environmental Planning Commission in 1996, recently achieved partial acceptance of its urbanization works. Currently, only the central parks identified as L3 and L4 remain to be completed.
The local government has emphasized that the current design has been adapted to prioritize sustainability and urban quality. The sector is characterized by low-density construction, aiming to foster balanced growth that excludes the use of vacation rentals.
The project integrates residential and tourist areas alongside public facilities and a central green axis. Furthermore, improvements to mobility in Los Cristianos are planned through new road connections and the partial undergrounding of Chayofita Avenue, a joint effort between the Arona City Council, the Cabildo of Tenerife, and the Government of the Canary Islands.
The execution of this phase is presented as an economic driver for the area, with an estimated investment of 1 billion euros and the expectation of creating thousands of jobs in the municipality.
