Sources from the Government of Spain categorically denied to DIARIO DE AVISOS having requested the Tenerife club to suspend its trip to Morocco. They described the information suggesting that the sports institution had been given any indication not to travel to Agadir and play the friendly match as an "absolute and total invention."
For his part, Octavio Caraballo, in statements to Cadena Ser, requested "respect for the autonomy and decisions" of the entities involved in organizing the match.
Caraballo argued that it is the federations and clubs that "develop this collaboration and make decisions aligned with the signed agreement," which aims to promote women's football in Morocco.
