The incident occurred around 7:26 AM when the Emergency and Safety Coordination Center (CECOES) 1-1-2 received the alert. Rescue and medical services were immediately dispatched to the scene.
Upon arrival, medical personnel assessed the injured individual, who had sustained a severe fracture in a lower limb. After being stabilized at the scene, he was urgently transported.
The young man was rushed to the Nuestra Señora de Candelaria University Hospital, where he remains admitted and receiving specialized care.
The victim was reportedly walking on the highway at the time of the incident. The exact circumstances leading to the collision are currently under investigation.
