CD Tenerife's coach, Álvaro Cervera, has reviewed the nearly concluded season, awarding it an "excellent" grade. Despite losses and injuries, Cervera believes the team has maintained a high level of play and a stable league position, avoiding any internal crises.
Cervera noted that while the dressing room's perspective differed due to "a lost match or some incident that happened internally," these episodes did not lead to a crisis. "It was one or two days, not a whole week of worry," he clarified, recalling key moments like the match in Ferrol.
Looking ahead to the final match against Ourense, who are fighting for survival, the coach warned that "it's hard to get into a game" without any classification stakes. However, he assured that the team has the "obligation to try and get a good result" for themselves and for the competition.
With players like Dani Martín, Aitor Sanz, Noel López, and Jesús de Miguel unavailable, Cervera stated it won't be difficult to decide the lineup. "In these last few games, we are trying to reward those who have participated less," he explained.
Regarding the goalkeeping position, Cervera expressed his support for keeping the pair of Gabri de Vuyst and Dani Martín for the next season. "Gabri has to stay because he is a very good goalkeeper and an extraordinary young man," he affirmed, highlighting the good relationship between them.
On the future of other players like Maikel and Balde, the coach acknowledged that "right now, no one is guaranteed to stay," due to the typical squad renewals in promoted teams and potential offers or decisions from the sporting management.
