The National Police have arrested three individuals in connection with the assault on an 88-year-old British tourist in Los Cristianos, Arona (Tenerife), who passed away on Sunday following the incident that occurred last Wednesday.

The National Police Force has confirmed the arrest of three individuals allegedly involved in the violent assault on an 88-year-old British tourist. The incident took place last Wednesday in Los Cristianos, within the municipality of Arona, on the island of Tenerife.
According to police investigations, the victim reportedly suffered a severe blow during the struggle with the assailants. He sadly passed away on Sunday, several days after the attack.

The British media outlet Daily Mail reported that the victim was celebrating his birthday on the island with his partner when the attack occurred, in the vicinity of a well-known holiday apartment complex.
Following the assault, the tourist suffered a cardiorespiratory arrest in the public street. Emergency medical personnel from the Canary Islands Emergency Service (SUC) managed to revive him at the scene and urgently transported him to a hospital, where he ultimately died.
