Tenerife will face a day of intense heat this Friday, with minimum temperatures that could remain above 24 degrees and highs reaching 34 degrees in the most affected areas.

The island of Tenerife will experience a notable rise in temperatures this Friday, with nights expected to be tropical, meaning minimums that could stay between 24 and 26 degrees in the most affected areas. Highs will also be elevated, potentially reaching 30 degrees on the east and south slopes, including the capital, Santa Cruz de Tenerife, which will register between 24 and 32 degrees.
The State Meteorological Agency (Aemet) forecasts generally little cloudy or clear skies, although intervals of low clouds are not ruled out in the north of the island, especially during the night. Calima (Saharan dust) will be light in the high areas.
The wind will blow from the northeast and will be strong on the northwest and southeast slopes, with locally very strong gusts. At sea, rough seas are expected in some areas.
Other islands in the archipelago will also be affected by the heat. In Gran Canaria, highs of up to 34 degrees are expected in the Tirajana basin and the southeast, with minimums between 24 and 26 degrees. Fuerteventura will register between 30 and 32 degrees in the southeast, while Lanzarote will reach 30 degrees in the southeast. La Gomera and El Hierro will also experience temperatures close to 30 degrees in midlands and high areas.
In contrast, La Palma will see a slight decrease in maximum temperatures, with values between 22 and 27 degrees in Santa Cruz de La Palma.
