The arrival of Changan, a manufacturer with over 160 years of history in China, is channeled through Pelican Motor, consolidating Grupo Canaauto's growth strategy. This initiative underscores the group's commitment to advanced, connected, and electrification-oriented mobility in the archipelago.
The brand arrives in the Canary Islands with a proposal that seeks to bring intelligent technology and cutting-edge design to consumers. Under the concept of “Human Technology and Sustainability,” Changan prioritizes user-centric innovation, proactive safety, and the advancement of sustainable electric mobility, a philosophy that aligns with Pelican Motor's trajectory.
The initial launch includes two 100% electric SUV models from the Deepal family. The Deepal S05, a compact and versatile SUV, offers a range of up to 485 km (WLTP) in its RWD Pro and Max versions, ideal for daily use. Its minimalist interior integrates intuitive and connected technology, facilitating urban driving.
On the other hand, the Deepal S07 is positioned as the flagship model, with a design developed in Italy and a premium approach. This vehicle provides a “technological luxury” experience with up to 475 km of range (WLTP) in its electric versions, fast charging, and an advanced digital ecosystem that includes augmented reality on the dashboard, enhancing interaction and driving assistance.
To ensure an optimal customer experience, Changan Canarias has established three strategic sales points. In Gran Canaria, the location is at Calle Diego Vega Sarmiento, 60, in the Miller Bajo Industrial Zone. In Tenerife, the main headquarters is at Calle Las Industrias, 14, in Taco, La Laguna, and an additional point in the north of the island, on Carretera TF-5, Km 32, in La Orotava.
