The archipelago is preparing for a day marked by persistent cloudiness. In the province of Santa Cruz de Tenerife, skies will be mostly overcast in the north and east. The State Meteorological Agency (Aemet) has indicated that precipitation will be occasional, most likely affecting low-lying areas during the early morning and eastern mid-slopes until late afternoon.
In the islands of Gran Canaria, Lanzarote, and Fuerteventura, the trend will be similar during the first half of the day. Cloudiness will tend to clear from midday on the western slopes, although isolated showers are not ruled out in the eastern mid-slopes of Gran Canaria.
Temperatures will show little significant variation compared to previous days. In Tenerife, maximums of 24 degrees Celsius are expected, while the regional minimum will be in El Hierro at 11 degrees Celsius. Meanwhile, in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, values will range between a minimum of 17 and a maximum of 21 degrees Celsius.
Wind will be a determining factor in the summits. While breezes and light northwesterly winds will prevail on the coasts, in the high areas, the wind will blow strongly from the west. Aemet warns of the possibility of occasionally very strong gusts on Mount Teide, requiring caution in high mountain areas.
