A joint inspection by the National Police and the Labor and Social Security Inspectorate in an industrial estate in southern Tenerife uncovered a dozen cannabis plants in a warehouse, leading to the arrest of its owner.

The operation, part of the fight against irregular employment and social security fraud, took place in several establishments within an industrial area in the south of the island. During the intervention, nine premises housing ten companies were inspected, and twenty-one workers were identified.
The action culminated in the arrest of the owner of one of the warehouses as the alleged perpetrator of a crime against public health. Inside the premises, officers located twelve cannabis plants, along with various cultivation equipment, including automatic irrigation systems and grow lights.
In addition to the plant seizure, the inspection revealed the presence of an irregular worker and numerous serious deficiencies in occupational risk prevention. Formal requests were made for the correction of these irregularities, with corresponding administrative liabilities being imposed.
This operation highlights the close collaboration between the Labor and Social Security Inspectorate and the National Police, whose coordination aims to strengthen compliance with labor regulations and prevent illicit activities, ensuring legality and safety in the workplace.
