CD Tenerife's promotion celebration was put on hold this weekend, as Celta Fortuna drew their match in Pontevedra, preventing the 'blanquiazul' team from securing their promotion independently.

The match between Celta Fortuna and Pontevedra, which ended in a 1-1 draw, has postponed CD Tenerife's promotion aspirations. Although Pontevedra took the lead with a goal from Facu Ballardo in the first half, the reserve team managed to equalize just before halftime thanks to a goal by Óscar Marcos.
The second half of the game saw numerous chances for both teams, but none were converted, maintaining the draw until the 96th minute. This result means that CD Tenerife will not be able to secure their promotion in Ponferrada this weekend.
With 12 points still in play, Celta Fortuna's draw places the Galician team eight points behind CD Tenerife. If Álvaro Cervera's team secures a victory against Ponferradina, they would extend their lead to eleven points over the second-placed team, bringing them even closer to promotion. In that scenario, a single point against Barakaldo next Friday at the Heliodoro Rodríguez López would be enough to achieve their goal.
