The Community of Madrid, via its public company Planifica Madrid, has announced the sale of a penthouse located on General Martínez Campos street, in the Chamberí district, for a price of 6.69 million euros (excluding taxes). The decision follows controversy over the property's prior purchase and coincides with the sale of other real estate assets.
The sales document, signed by the CEO of Planifica Madrid, Pedro Corbalán Ruiz, details two lots. The first corresponds to the Chamberí penthouse, with a surface area of 481 m², previously acquired for 6.3 million euros. The second lot includes a property on Gran Vía, 6, which is being put up for sale for 11.8 million euros.
These buildings are being sold to allocate the funds to recovery efforts following the fires in the Sierra Oeste. The Martínez Campos penthouse, purchased in April, was justified for use in "meetings" during renovations at the Real Casa de Correos, the regional government's headquarters.
The property at Gran Vía number 6, with a usable area of 1,132 m², is part of a building spanning 9,045 m². The deadline for submitting offers for both lots is September 7th at 23:59. Additionally, another apartment owned by the public company on Pedro Moreno street, 3, will also be sold.
