The State Meteorological Agency (Aemet) forecasts a drop in temperatures in Tenerife this Friday, with highs reaching 26 degrees.

After days of excessive heat, temperatures on the island are expected to decrease this Friday, ranging from a minimum of 20 degrees to a maximum of 26. The forecast indicates cloudy intervals in the north of the island, below 900-1100 meters, and cloudiness during nighttime hours. In other areas, skies are expected to be mostly clear with morning intervals on the coasts.
Winds will blow lightly from the northwest, with a predominance of sea breezes on the coasts. On the high peaks, winds will be light to moderate from the south.
Generally across the Canary Islands, cloudy skies are expected in Lanzarote and Fuerteventura during the night, becoming mostly clear for the rest of the day. On other islands, there will be cloudiness in low-lying northern areas, with intervals during the central hours of the day. Other slopes will have mostly clear skies with some morning intervals on the coasts.
Temperatures in the rest of the Canary Islands will experience little change or a slight rise in maximums in Lanzarote and Fuerteventura, where temperatures could still reach 30°C in the eastern interior. Winds will be light to moderate from the northwest, with prevailing breezes during the central hours.
