The investigation, initiated in 2021 by Germany's BKA and with Spanish collaboration since 2025, culminated in the arrest of two men aged 33 and 35, both German nationals.
According to the official statement, the criminal network exported large quantities of cocaine, amphetamine, and marijuana to Germany from Spain. The fugitives had reportedly fled their home country in June 2025 due to police pressure.
During the operation, multiple drug shipments were intercepted. Agents located the ringleader in Alicante and his collaborator in Tenerife, but the fugitives' constant movements complicated their apprehension.
After several months of surveillance, the fugitive in Tenerife was arrested on January 28th. The second arrest occurred on July 7th at a residence in Cartagena.
The detainees have been placed at the disposal of the National Court and have been remanded in custody pending extradition to Germany.
