The incident occurred at 8:41 PM, when the Emergency and Security Coordination Center (CECOES) 112 of the Government of the Canary Islands received the alert about the violent crash between two cars, one of which involved trapped individuals.
The 112 operations room promptly dispatched personnel from the Consortium of Firefighters of Tenerife, two ambulances from the Canary Islands Urgency Service (SUC) – one with advanced medical support and another with basic life support – the Civil Guard, and staff from the Road Conservation Service of the Cabildo of Tenerife.
Upon arrival at the accident site on the TF-64, firefighters secured the area and proceeded to extricate the two occupants, who had become trapped inside the vehicles as a result of the impact.
Once freed by the firefighters, SUC personnel attended to the injured individuals at the scene. The male presented with various moderate traumas and was evacuated by a medically equipped ambulance to the Hospital del Sur.
The 60-year-old woman also suffered moderate severity traumas, leading medical staff to transfer her via a basic life support ambulance to the private center Hospiten Sur.
Civil Guard officers took charge of regulating traffic on the affected stretch of road and conducting the relevant report to determine the causes of the collision.
