Two injured after falling into the sea in Puerto de la Cruz

Three people fell into the sea at Playa Jardín, Puerto de la Cruz, on Saturday, with two sustaining injuries of varying severity.

An incident at sea on Playa Jardín beach, in the Tenerife municipality of Puerto de la Cruz, left two people affected on Saturday afternoon. According to the Canary Islands emergency service 112, three individuals fell into the water, with two of them sustaining injuries.
One of the affected individuals is a 21-year-old man who managed to exit the water on his own. He exhibited symptoms of incomplete drowning and his condition was classified as moderate. After receiving assistance from the Canary Emergency Medical Service (SUC), he was transferred to the Hospiten Bellevue University Hospital in Puerto de la Cruz.
The other injured person is a 20-year-old woman, who was rescued by a local resident. She suffered minor bruises and received assistance at the scene from a basic life support ambulance of the SUC.
A third person who also fell into the sea was able to get out of the water unaided and did not require medical assistance, according to the sources consulted.
