The Museum of Science and the Cosmos celebrates the first anniversary of its outreach talk series From the sky to the thesis, an initiative that brings astrophysical research closer to the general public.

The proposal, which began on July 24, 2025, has established itself as a monthly space where doctoral students from the Instituto de Astrofísica de Canarias (IAC) share their projects. The sessions, scheduled for July 23, 2026, at 5:00 PM, maintain a dynamic and accessible format with free admission until full capacity is reached.
The event will address recent discoveries, such as the detection of a third planet in the GJ 3998 system. This celestial body, with a minimum mass of 6.1 times that of Earth, presents stellar illumination conditions similar to those of our planet, making it a relevant object of study for the scientific community.
Additionally, the program includes a review of the intensity interferometry technique applied to Cherenkov telescopes. This methodology allows for measuring stars and separating binary systems with higher resolution than conventional methods, a technology present on the peaks of Tenerife and La Palma.
