The Canary Islands Institute of Astrophysics (IAC) has announced an open house event at the Teide Observatory on June 20th and 21st, coinciding with the summer solstice week.

Attendees will have the opportunity to tour some of the observatory's most relevant scientific facilities and understand their operation thanks to explanations from technical and research staff. Additionally, live solar observations will be conducted.
The activity is free of charge but requires prior registration. Interested individuals must fill out a form starting June 1st at 10:00 AM. The registration period will remain open until the quota of 1,000 people is filled or until June 5th.
Tours will be organized in two morning and afternoon shifts for each day, with a capacity of 250 people per shift. The complete tour will last approximately three hours. To access the parking area, vehicles must have a minimum of four occupants, and motorcycles and bicycles will also be permitted.
