Gran Canaria Student Wins National 'Bridge to China' Contest

A 3rd-grade primary student from Colegio Arenas in Gran Canaria, Vera Sanz Diago, has been awarded the national first prize in the Primary category of the 'Bridge to China' contest.

The young student from Gran Canaria achieved the highest score in her category, 96.23 out of 100, earning her the right to represent Spain in the international phase of the competition, which will be held in China. This international contest recognizes the learning of Mandarin Chinese among students from various countries.
The national final brought together participants from different autonomous communities across Spain. During the competition, Vera showcased her skills by successfully completing a Mandarin Chinese speech and performance test, excelling notably.
Colegio Arenas, a pioneer in the Canary Islands for teaching Mandarin Chinese as a subject, highlighted that this achievement is the result of the student's effort, perseverance, and dedication, as well as the faculty's work in her preparation.
