The State Meteorological Agency has issued high-temperature warnings for this Monday across much of the archipelago, with an orange alert in Gran Canaria due to peaks of up to 37 degrees.

The heatwave will impact the islands unevenly. In Gran Canaria, the risk is significant, particularly in the summits and the southern, eastern, and western slopes. In these areas, maximum temperatures will reach 37 degrees, while nighttime lows will remain high, exceeding 26 degrees in the most affected locations.
Meanwhile, Tenerife and La Gomera are under a yellow warning. In Tenerife, the alert focuses on the east, south, west, and the metropolitan area, where maximums of 34 degrees are expected. This same threshold is anticipated in the midlands of La Gomera.
The islands of Lanzarote and Fuerteventura are also under a yellow alert. In both territories, the heat will be most intense in the interior-southern areas, where thermometers could reach 34 degrees during the day.
These weather warnings are in effect from 11:00 AM to 8:00 PM this Monday, during which time caution is advised due to the rising temperatures.
