The film 'Everytime', shot in Tenerife and directed by Sandra Wollner, has received the 'Un Certain Regard' award at the Cannes Film Festival.

The Austrian film Everytime, which was shot in late 2024 in various locations on the island, including the municipality of La Laguna, has been recognized at the prestigious Cannes Film Festival. The film won in the 'Un Certain Regard' section, one of the event's most prominent categories.
Director Sandra Wollner was captivated by the beauty of Punta del Hidalgo, a town in La Laguna, and chose this Tenerife enclave as the main setting for her family drama. The plot follows a mother, her daughter, and a teenager who travel to Tenerife for their vacation.
Canarian production company Tourmalet Films, in co-production with The Barricades and Panamá Film, was responsible for the local production. During filming, sustainability measures were implemented, such as shared vehicle use, the elimination of single-use plastics, and concentrating locations to minimize travel.
The filming took place in several areas of La Laguna, including Tejina, the La Costa road, the Altagay area, the Homicián trail, and locations within the Anaga Rural Park such as the hamlet of Chinamada.
The 'Un Certain Regard' section of the Cannes Film Festival, established in 1998, awards films with unique, daring, or innovative perspectives, from emerging filmmakers to established directors presenting less conventional works. Previous winners include renowned filmmakers such as Yorgos Lanthimos and Juho Kuosmanen.
