The Civil Guard has arrested four individuals—two men and two women—in Tacoronte, Tenerife, for their alleged involvement in a kidnapping, robbery with force, and assault.

Officers began the investigation after receiving a report from a private individual who stated they had been assaulted using the 'mata león' technique, causing them to lose consciousness. Subsequently, the victim was taken into a house where they were held against their will for several hours.
During the captivity, the alleged perpetrators stole money from the victim and assaulted them, even threatening them with a katana to obtain their bank card PIN and withdraw funds from their account.

The victim, taking advantage of a moment of distraction from their captors, managed to escape the house through a window and seek help.

The victim, who sustained injuries, provided the officers with a detailed description of the events and the assailants. Following investigations and with reliable information, the Civil Guard obtained judicial authorization to search the residence where the alleged illegal detention took place.
Inside the property, the victim's belongings were found, including their mobile phone and 855 euros in cash, along with a blue tape used to restrain them and a machete, the weapon described by the victim.
The search was supported by the Reserve and Security Group number 8 (GRS 8) and the canine unit trained for drugs and money detection. During the operation, material for weighing drugs and stolen tools, presumably from previous robberies, were also discovered.
The four detainees, along with the compiled case files, have been brought before the judicial authorities. Provisional imprisonment was ordered for three of them.
