The municipality of La Frontera, in El Hierro, is preparing to host the ninth edition of the HeroFest festival on September 11th and 12th. The event is consolidating itself as a meeting point for alternative music and contemporary culture, combining musical performances with an immersive experience in nature and community living.
This year's lineup highlights the presence of Pony Bravo, an influential band in the Spanish independent scene. They will be joined by the Portuguese band Travo, a benchmark in European psychedelic rock; the French duo Moundrag, known for their mix of progressive and hard rock; and Dear Joanne, an emerging act with an intense and melodic sound.
Musical diversity is expanded with the solo project of Ale Acosta, a renowned Canary Islands electronic music producer. Returning from Mexico is Acty, aiming to replicate the success of his previous performance. The festival will also showcase Canary Islands talent with the participation of bands such as Pleito, Viva Le Pop (Tenerife), DrÛpe (Lanzarote), and Casablanca III (Gran Canaria). Completing the lineup are El Patillas DJ and Baked Belda.
Before the main event, the festival will kick off its spirit with a presentation party on Saturday, July 18th, at the Sala Faro in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria. The event will feature live music and DJ sets by Drûpe, Tal!!!, and Fuckin Four DJ, also serving to unveil news about the festival edition.
Beyond the concerts, HeroFest maintains its commitment to a comprehensive program that includes family activities and cultural proposals, thanks to the collaboration of the Fundación CajaCanarias.
This edition follows the festival's receipt of the Canary Islands Music Award for Best Musical Programming last December, an accolade that validates the artistic quality and the festival's commitment to cultural decentralization and the promotion of the independent scene.
HeroFest El Hierro is supported by the Cabildo de El Hierro, the Ayuntamiento de La Frontera, the Gobierno de Canarias, and the Fundación CajaCanarias.
