Spanish hotel establishments recorded a 0.9% year-on-year decrease in overnight stays during June, totaling 38.615 million. These figures were released by the National Statistics Institute (INE).
Concurrently, the hotel price index saw a 5.6% increase compared to the same month last year. The average revenue per occupied room stood at 137.1 euros, marking a 5.8% rise from June of the previous year.
At the start of the summer season, overnight stays by resident travelers in Spain grew by 1.5%, while those by non-resident travelers fell by 2%.
