Following Txus Vidorreta's announcement of the end of his tenure on the Tenerife team's bench, interest in Lakovic from the neighboring island has gained momentum, culminating in an agreement. The Slovenian coach, whose departure from Gran Canaria was due to a poor run of results that ultimately could not prevent the team's relegation, was considering various professional options in Spain and Europe.
Despite the options on the table, Lakovic appears to have chosen to continue residing in the Canary Islands, now moving to the island of Tenerife. Although there is no official confirmation from the clubs yet, an announcement is expected soon.
