A joint operation by the Local Police of Arona and the General Corps of the Canarian Police was deployed yesterday in El Fraile and Guaza to strengthen security and prevent illicit behavior.

The operation, which involved a significant number of officers, focused on active surveillance, preventive controls, and public identifications. The intervention points were selected by security forces as areas of “special operational interest.”
As a direct result of this action, agents issued several reports for possession and consumption of narcotic substances, applying the current Citizen Security Law. Additionally, the controls allowed for the identification of suspicious individuals and the detection of potential administrative infractions related to urban furniture and common areas.
The Arona Security Department emphasized that these interventions are not isolated incidents but part of a broader strategy to “optimize resources and improve the effectiveness of police response” through collaboration between different security forces.

"Controls and surveillance will be intensified at different points in the municipality, with the aim of preventing infractions, reinforcing security, and maintaining an active and close police presence."
