The Spanish National Organization of the Blind (ONCE) has honored Julia Díaz with the award for Salesperson of the Year 2025 within its Zonal Directorate of Tenerife. This annual recognition values the performance of employees in selling lottery products, as well as their attitude, customer relations, and contribution to the entity's social work.
Julia, 53 years old and with a disability, was one of 22 individuals selected from across Spain to receive her award at a gala held on June 5 at the Hotel ILUNION Pío XII in Madrid. The event was attended by the top executives of the ONCE.
Born in Cuba, Julia moved to Spain at the age of 24, facing the change with determination. Those who know her highlight her strength, positivity, and the way she overcomes challenges. For her, the ONCE has been a transformative chapter, where she has felt welcomed and valued. Throughout her career, she has facilitated the awarding of prizes totaling over eleven million euros.
The gala, themed ‘On the Street’, paid tribute to the organization's social work, symbolizing the delivery of hope and luck through a railway station-themed stage design. The 22 recognized salespeople shared anecdotes from their daily work with ONCE executives.
“"You reflect the authentic spirit of the ONCE, and today we are here to recognize your work and thank you."
The Director General of the ONCE, Ángel Sánchez, expressed gratitude for the efforts of the awardees, who represent the more than 21,000 salespeople of the organization, the primary distribution channel for its products.
