The La Laguna Tenerife team returned to Liga Endesa action to face Girona, securing a victory in a high-intensity game marked by back-and-forth scoring, despite having their sights set on their upcoming European challenge.

With an eye on the BCL playoff against Galatasaray, La Laguna Tenerife hosted Girona in the Liga Endesa. Coach Txus Vidorreta opted not to include Patty Mills and Dylan Bordón in the squad, while Shermadini, after playing in Istanbul, was once again ready for the 'aurinegros'.
The game started with a constant exchange of baskets, with La Laguna Tenerife taking an early lead (8-2) which Girona quickly neutralized with outside shooting (8-8). The first five minutes were characterized by a frantic pace and great equality on the scoreboard (15-15). Later, the game became somewhat darker, as both teams started making offensive errors (21-19), which the home side capitalized on to extend their lead (26-21).
In the second quarter, Girona's coach, Moncho Fernández, was forced to call a timeout after a 5-1 run by La Laguna Tenerife (31-22). Although two free throws by Marcelinho gave the hosts a significant lead (38-30), the Catalan team's offensive rebounds (reaching eight with more than five minutes left) prompted another timeout from Vidorreta (38-32). At halftime, a last-second basket by Jaime Fernández left the score at 50-43, with Girona having grabbed 12 offensive boards.
The third quarter began with a 2-7 run for Girona, reducing the deficit to 52-50. However, La Laguna Tenerife responded, achieving a 57-50 lead that led Moncho Fernández to call another timeout. Although the break had an effect for Girona (59-60 with a 9-17 run in less than six minutes), the islanders, with Marce on the court and a standout performance from Giedraitis, managed to regain control (68-63) to end the quarter with a 72-63 advantage.
