The program begins on Friday, September 18, at 8:30 PM, with the play ‘Emily, enclosed poetry. The Dickinson’. This production blends theater, poetry, and music to delve into the life of the renowned American writer Emily Dickinson, portrayed by actress Griselda Ponce. The performance explores key episodes of her life, her relationships, her literary creation, her emotions, her connection with nature and death, and her fear of her writings never being published.
The play is accompanied by music from accordionist Sofía Garal, who embodies Susan Gilbert, Dickinson's close friend and lover. The performance, recommended for ages 11 and up, has a general admission price of 10 euros.

The following day, Saturday, at 11:30 AM, the first Alumni ULL Encounter ‘The University with Humor’ will take place. This event commemorates the 25th anniversary of the alumni association and will feature prominent Canary Islands humorists such as Piedra Pómez, Juan Luis Calero, Darío López, Yanely Hernández, and Pili Soy Yo. The initiative aims to reflect on university memory through humor, connecting with participants whose studies date back over half a century.
The event is particularly aimed at alumni of the University of La Laguna, especially the graduating class of 2001, the year the association was founded. Attendance is by invitation only, subject to capacity.
