Pope Leo XIV will make an official visit to Spain from June 6 to 12, under the motto 'Alzad la mirada' (Look Up), which will include stops in Madrid, Barcelona, Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, and Santa Cruz de Tenerife.

The president of the Spanish Episcopal Conference (CEE), Luis Argüello, has revealed the motto 'Alzad la mirada' for Pope Leo XIV's upcoming trip to Spain. This announcement was made through a video published by Trece, the Episcopal Conference's channel, to welcome Easter.
Although a press conference was expected to detail the trip's organization, Argüello released the information early, emphasizing that the pontiff's visit, the first to Spain in fifteen years since Benedict XVI's in 2011, will give this year's Easter a "special meaning" by confirming the faithful "in faith, hope, and charity".

"Look up because the Lord emerges above wars, conflicts, difficulties, sorrows."
