A man has been rescued in critical condition after a drowning incident at Las Vistas Beach in Arona, Tenerife.

A male individual has been transferred in critical condition to the Nuestra Señora de la Candelaria University Hospital following a drowning incident at sea at Las Vistas Beach, in the municipality of Arona. The event occurred around 6:53 PM, when the Emergency and Safety Coordinating Center (CECOES) 1 1 2 of the Government of the Canary Islands received the alert.
According to the information provided, the person was pulled from the water in cardiorespiratory arrest, and lifeguards performed resuscitation maneuvers on him at the beach. After regaining vital signs, he was stabilized and urgently transported by a medicalized ambulance from the Canary Islands Emergency Service (SUC).
Officers from the National Police and Local Police collaborated with the health and emergency resources during the incident.
