The incident occurred at 08:04, when the Canary Islands Emergency and Security Coordination Center (CECOES) 1-1-2 received a report of a collision at kilometer 8, heading north. The accident took place during peak traffic hours in the metropolitan area of Tenerife.
A medicalized ambulance from the Canary Islands Emergency Service (SUC) arrived at the scene. After stabilizing the patient, who suffered moderate injuries, medical staff transferred him to the Hospital Universitario de Canarias for further diagnosis and treatment.
Officers from the Guardia Civil managed traffic flow and began an investigation into the causes of the crash. Meanwhile, maintenance crews from the Cabildo de Tenerife cleared the road of debris and removed the vehicles to restore normal traffic conditions.
