The Cabildo of La Palma is launching the new line 301, connecting Los Llanos de Aridane with the Airport and Santa Cruz de La Palma, offering a direct public transport option from early morning.

The new route, named "Los Llanos – Santa Cruz de La Palma via Airport", aims to address the mobility needs of residents in the Aridane Valley. It will feature early departures from Los Llanos de Aridane towards the airport and the capital, operating on both weekdays and holidays, facilitating travel without the need for a private vehicle.
Previously, the journey required passing through Santa Cruz de La Palma first, significantly extending travel time and making connections difficult for those with early flights or needing to reach the airport early. The new line optimizes this route.
Island president Sergio Rodríguez highlighted that the initiative responds to an "evident need", emphasizing that "mobility is also quality of life, equal opportunities, and autonomy for citizens". Meanwhile, the mayor of Los Llanos de Aridane, Javier Llamas, described the line as a "historic demand" and an example of "useful politics" that addresses citizen requests.
Transport counselor Darwin Rodríguez added that the line is designed for "people who wake up early to work, travel, or attend appointments", and its implementation involves reorganizing other services to better suit current mobility needs on the island.
