The Spanish Ministry of the Interior, the National Crime Agency, and Crimestoppers have launched a campaign to locate twelve British fugitives who may be hiding in areas including Tenerife.

The initiative, known as Operation Captura, is calling for public assistance to track down twelve men wanted by United Kingdom authorities. These individuals are accused of serious offenses and are believed to have ties to Spanish regions with large British communities, such as the island of Tenerife.
Since 2019, security forces have successfully arrested 254 British fugitives in Spain through international cooperation. Officials have emphasized that the country is not a safe haven for those attempting to evade justice.

"Spain is not a safe haven for fugitives and this collaboration has shown time and again that if you run, we will not stop looking. We will find you and bring you back to face justice."
