An internal survey conducted by Ashotel among its associates between June 3rd and 16th reveals that confirmed bookings for the summer months average 64.6% in the province of Santa Cruz de Tenerife. This figure represents a decrease from the 69.4% recorded last year.
By island, Tenerife leads in bookings with 65.8%, although it also shows a five-point drop. It is followed by El Hierro (62.5%), La Palma (56.3%), and La Gomera (38.3%).
Within Tenerife, the south of the island has the highest booking rate at 69.9%, followed by the north with 50.7% and the metropolitan area with 37.5%. All these areas show lower percentages than last year.
Analyzing the months separately, July has 67.5% of registered bookings, five points less than the previous year, while for August the figure drops to 61.7%.
The majority of establishments (56.6% for July and 54.8% for August) anticipate lower occupancy this summer compared to last year.
Regarding international markets, a greater decline is expected in the German market, while the Nordic and British markets are anticipated to be more stable. The national market also shows a trend towards stability, with 54% of respondents expecting a similar performance to the previous year.
Ashotel considers these figures consistent with forecasts made at the beginning of the year. The hotel association remains focused on the resolution of the conflict in Iran and is already working on planning for the winter season.
