A Ryanair flight en route to Tenerife was diverted to Faro, Portugal, on Wednesday, June 10th, after disruptive passengers caused a disturbance and compromised onboard safety.

The captain of the flight from Manchester to Tenerife South Airport made the decision to land in the Portuguese city of Faro due to the chaos caused by two individuals exhibiting violent behavior and endangering air navigation.
Video footage captured by fellow passengers showed one man walking provocatively down the aisle, singing and shouting. Tensions escalated when, as he attempted to return to his seat, another traveler tripped him, leading to a heated argument and objects being thrown in the cabin. Several individuals loudly demanded the immediate removal of the troublemaker.

A spokesperson for Ryanair confirmed that the crew requested police assistance before landing at the Portuguese airfield. Local authorities escorted the two individuals off the plane at Faro's tarmac to allow the flight to continue its journey to the Canary archipelago.
The airline reiterated its zero-tolerance policy towards reckless behavior that endangers its staff. This incident was not an isolated event, as an easyJet flight from London to Tenerife South experienced a similar situation just hours later, with 12 disruptive passengers onboard.
