The Mancomunidad de Municipios de San Juan de la Rambla y La Guancha has incorporated two new vehicles into its solid waste collection fleet, with an investment exceeding 400,000 euros, to streamline and modernize the service.

The acquisition of these two trucks, a compactor collector and a satellite collector, both rear-loading, aims to enhance the efficiency and sustainability of the waste collection service in both municipalities. The main compactor truck, with a 17 cubic meter capacity, will optimize routes and reduce trips to the treatment plant thanks to its hydraulic compaction system.
The satellite truck, with a seven cubic meter capacity, is designed to access difficult-to-maneuver areas where the main vehicle cannot operate. It will work in coordination with the compactor, collecting waste from complex points and transferring it to the larger truck.
This renewal is particularly significant for La Guancha, which until now had only one truck over 20 years old. The inter-municipal association, established in 2000, jointly manages urban solid waste collection, container cleaning, and the removal of bulky items for thousands of residents.
