The dinner, scheduled for June 20 at Monaco's prestigious Café de París restaurant, will be presided over by Prince Albert II of Monaco, accompanied by members of the Monegasque Government and prominent personalities. The participation of the Tenerife chef highlights the significance of Canarian gastronomy at this international event.
This occasion is part of the celebrations for the 150th anniversary of the Monegasque diplomatic mission in Spain, a relationship dating back to 1349. The Embassy of Monaco in Spain, in collaboration with the Principality's Directorate of Cultural Affairs, has organized numerous events throughout 2026 to commemorate this historic bond.
The Spanish Gastronomic and Cultural Days will take place in Monte Carlo between June 17 and 21, paying tribute to high-quality Spanish products. Chef Victor Marion of Café de París will also showcase these products in his kitchens. The gala dinner, as the culmination, will feature a Spanish menu coordinated by González Margallo and his partners, in collaboration with the Embassy of Monaco in Madrid and under the supervision of the Café de París Restaurant.
The menu will include traditional dishes from Spanish and Canary Islands gastronomy, paired with both peninsular and island wines, the latter valued for their unique pre-phylloxera status. The team from San Sebastián 57 restaurant is working closely with Canarian authorities to ensure the finest products for this important event in Monte Carlo.
