The Tenerife Tram network has become a traveling showcase to promote the 8th Tricontinental Craft Fair. Two trams will feature special branding, complemented by advertising on stops at the Intercambiador and the Hospital Universitario. The craft event will take place at the Tenerife Trade Fair Center between October 24 and November 2, 2026.
During the presentation, the Minister of Employment, Education, and Youth, Efraín Medina, highlighted the tram's role as "the best ambassador" for this unique gathering that unites Europe, Africa, and America. This year, the fair pays tribute to the rich culture of Mexico, the featured country. Over 200 artisans are expected to participate, along with approximately 40,000 visitors, reinforcing Tenerife's position as an Atlantic intercultural bridge.
The Tricontinental Craft Fair has established itself as a key event on the regional calendar, offering a significant concentration for the commercialization of crafts. In its eighth edition, the Trade Fair Center will provide 12,000 square meters to host 200 artisans from three continents, alongside a notable representation of local and archipelago crafts.
The fair will be open to the public from 11:00 AM to 9:00 PM, with reduced hours from 4:00 PM to 9:00 PM on October 26, 27, and 28. The program will include complementary activities such as contests, live workshops, fashion shows, musical performances, tastings, and networking events.
This initiative underscores the Cabildo of Tenerife's commitment to promoting traditional trades, economic revitalization, and cultural exchange, aiming to give the island international projection through its crafts.
