The incident occurred in the municipality of La Orotava, Tenerife, specifically on Flor de Pascua Street, when a car left the roadway in the early hours of Sunday. This event resulted in three occupants suffering injuries of varying degrees, necessitating the intervention of emergency services.
The Canary Islands Government's Emergency and Security Coordinating Center (Cecoes) 112 received notification of the accident at 4:27 AM. Emergency resources were immediately deployed to the scene.
Among those affected, a man approximately 30 years old suffered severe polytrauma and was transported to the Hospital Universitario de Canarias. Another male, 40 years old, with moderate trauma, and a woman of the same age, with moderate trauma to an upper limb, were admitted to Hospiten Bellevue.
Tenerife Firefighters played a crucial role, as they had to intervene to free two occupants who were trapped inside the vehicle with blocked doors. Three basic life support ambulances from the Canarian Emergency Service (SUC) and the Local Police of La Orotava also attended the scene, with the latter responsible for preparing the corresponding report. Authorities are continuing to investigate the exact causes that led to the vehicle leaving the road.
